Jawatan Kosong SME Bank - Bank Perusahaan Kecil & Sederhana Malaysia Berhad - SME Bank is an established development financial institution mandated with the role of nurturing and meeting the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). As a one-stop financial centre responding to the funding and business growth needs of Malaysian SMEs, the Bank complements existing products and services offered by commercial banks through a comprehensive and integrated financial and business advisory services. Its primary role is to contribute towards the growth of a more robust entrepreneurial community in Malaysia.

Designed to function ultimately as a one-stop financing and business development centre, SME Bank of Malaysia is dedicated to accelerate the growth of Malaysian SMEs. Through better segmentation of SME financial and non-financial needs by industry, stage of growth and product and market potential, the Bank will strive to hasten the loan processing of eligible SMEs to meet their financing needs as well as support their business growth requirements through the provision of timely advisory services.

The principal activities of the Bank are to provide financing as well as financial and business advisory services to Malaysian SMEs residing within predefined categories which have been framed within the SME classification guidelines of the National SME Development Council.

1. Associate, Trade Finance & Takaful

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in relevant fields, and in possession of relevant professional qualifications fulfilling the regulatory requirements (if any).
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in related industries and have an in-depth understanding of International Trade products, principles and practices; with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
  • Knowledgeable about banking products and services.
  • Knowledgeable about trade finance products and services including Letters of Credit, Guarantees and Collections.
  • Strongly analytical.
  • Knowledgeable about Trade Finance system.
2. Senior Associate – Shariah Review, Compliance

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in relevant fields, and in possession of relevant professional qualifications (if any).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in related industries; with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
  • Computer literate in Word Processor, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Good communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • Has strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge in credit and non-credit operations.
  • Knowledge on regulatory requirements and specific risk in Islamic Finance.
  • Knowledge in fiqh Muamalat.
  • Knowledge in the comparative of products design and development mechanism between Islamic and conventional products.
  • Capable to organise, plan and work with minimal supervision.
3. Senior Associate – Regulatory Compliance

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in relevant fields, and in possession of relevant professional qualifications (if any).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in related industries; with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
  • Computer literate in Word Processor, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge on different markets/ industry, products, compliance and risk strategies and analytical tools.
  • Knowledge on regulatory requirements and specific compliance and risk in Islamic Finance.
  • Knowledge in the areas of credit operation and banking business/ practices.
  • Good exposure and knowledge on organization and business knowledge and practices.
  • Well developed Auditing and Investigation Skills.
  • Experienced in Compliance Management.
4. Head, Corporate Finance

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in relevant fields, and in possession of relevant professional qualifications fulfilling the regulatory requirements (if any).
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in related industries; had assumed management positions with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
  • Able to lead and articulate the management directions to direct reports.
  • Skills in negotiations, marketing, communication credit and technical.
  • Excellent knowledge, experience and business relations in SME and Large SME sector.
  • Excellent presentation and verbal/ written communication skills required.
  • Has a strong analytical skill.
  • Competent in strategic orientation with a strong sense of business awareness and financial management awareness.
  • Ability to interact at senior levels, influence and present matters of organizational interest
  • A “ go –getter” and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Has a personal commitment to organisational excellence; displays honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decision and actions.
5. Head, ICT PMO

Requirements:
  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in relevant fields, and in possession of relevant professional qualifications fulfilling the regulatory requirements (if any).
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in related industries; had assumed management positions with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
  • Attain professional technical experience involving systems analysis, system support or project management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a wide range of people at all levels including communicating complex technical issues to a non technical user base.
  • Resourceful, possess high integrity and able to inspire people.
  • Self motivated, hands-on leader, and a good team player.
  • A “ go-getter” and willing to go the extra mile.
