Jawatan Kosong Baling - Baling is the second largest district in the state of Kedah with an area of 1530 km2 or 590.32 square miles. It is bordered by Thailand and Perakin the east, Sik and Kuala Muda in the west, and Kulim to the south. Baling features many plains in the middle and mountains at the border with Thailand.
The local government district council was established on April 1st, 1976 after the reorganization of the local authorities. It consists of 2 city board and 3 local discussion council. In 1987, local government district council was changed to Baling’s district council.
