Jawatan Kosong PPPNP - Perbadanan Pembangunan Pertanian Negeri Perak was incorporated in February 1973 meeting outcome between YAB Dato ‘Seri Haji Kamaruddin bin Hj. Mohd Isa (Chief Minister at that time) with a Perak member state meeting (Exco). 

The primary goal of the Perbadanan Pembangunan Pertanian Negeri Perak at the moment was to produce industrial and agricultural development by opening the large-scale farms and move the body business, enterprise and agricultural development must be carried out to ensure states can supply materials sufficient food.

The main operations of the corporation is to open the land approved by the State Government for development of agricultural projects . Farm opens first is High Jalong Farm at Sg. Siput ( U ) 3,500 acres of oil palm plantations in 1975 .

At the beginning, PPPNP starting with oil palm and rubber cultivation of cash crops such as cassava in Ayer Kuning Farm in 1978, the consequences of declining world market price of rubber in 1975 , PPPNP was devoted to oil palm plantations .

As a result of the persistent efforts of the management and staff, PPPNP now owns 29 oil palm plantations including a farm located in Palembang , Indonesia . In addition PPPNP also have 2 palm processing factories located in Kg . Gajah , Perak and also in Palembang , Indonesia .

In 2011 the corporation took a step further by diversifying into new business venture are:
  • Rock Melon Crops Project
  • Fish Cages Poultry Project ( joint venture with the company Trapia Malaysia )
  • Products Beverage Health & Ginger Ginger Turmeric ( Joint Venture with companies Sajen Food )
  • Agar Plantation Project
