Jawatan Kosong MACA - The establishment of Akademi Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia or Malaysia Anti – Corruption Academy (MACA) was announced by Honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at the 4th steering committee meeting of ADB-OECD Anti Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific held in Kuala Lumpur. In general MACA will be the regional hub for anti –corruption capacity and capability building to fight corruption by promoting best practices in investigation, monitoring and enforcement and venturing in new areas such as forensic accounting and forensic engineering.

Many international institutions and organizations have agreed to cooperate with Malaysia in developing anti-corruption programmes including conducting the courses, trainings, seminars and workshops annually that would cater for the Asia Pacific region. This is made possible through the bilateral and multilateral networkings with other enforcement agencies in the region such as the ICAC Hong Kong, FBI, BMR Brunei Darussalam, KICAC (Republic of Korea), CPIB Singapore, NCCC Thailand and many others. Through these programmes, it is hoped that MACA will become an important anti-corruption learning and training centre in the Asia-Pacific region.

The establishment of MACA will enhance the competency and professionalism of the Anti-Corruption Agency officers. MACA will be responsible for preparing the courses in various fields such as investigation, prosecution, Intelligence, prevention, financial management, security, leadership, training for trainers and information technology.This is in line with the government’s intention to improve the capacity and capability of the Anti Corruption Agency (ACA) in the fight against corruption and to improve public service delivery system. Through MACA’s training programmes, the ACA officers would be more competent to carry out their duties more efficiently and speedily to combat corruption. The academy, the first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region will also act as a principal anti-corruption training center. The establishment of this academy reflects the seriousness and commitment of the Malaysian government to combat corruption and also as part of its contribution to the international community in the global fight against corruption.

OBJECTIVE
  1. To strengthen the independence, transparency and professionalism of MACC officers in executing their duties;
  2. To enhance the accountability and integrity of MACC officers through effective and continuous training programmes;
  3. To train human capital in public sectors to optimise the capacity and capability of anti-corruption;
  4. To increase anti-corruption training programmes through smart partnership with the private sectors;
  5. To expand the collaboration and cooperation with enforcement agencies, training institutions and international bodies; and
  6. To organize the capacity and capability development programmes for global community.
