Jawatan Kosong pkenps - Perbadanan Kemajuan Ekonomi Negeri Perlis - PKENPS or State Economic Development Corporation, formerly known as the Perlis State Economic Development Corporation was established according to Perlis Enactment No. 6 in 1973 and with effect from September 1, 1973.
In 1973, the State through Ekankmen No. 3 of 1984 has made some amendments to the enactment Mother (Enactment No. 6 of 1973) that involve a number of Section (Section 4, Section 7, Section 8, Section 9 and so on) is to adapt to the current situation and perkembanguan.
Beginning May 1, 1985, the Corporation was changed to the new name as it is known at present of "ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF SCIENCE" is due in accordance with the functions for the Advancement of Economic Affairs Sector in Perlis. This name change was approved by the Perlis Enactment Bill. 7 of 1985.
In 1991, the State Government has approved another amendment to the request of the principal Enactment of Section 18 to expand the powers of the Corporation. The amendment passed by Enactment No. 2 of 1991.
In the early establishment of the Corporation Board of Directors led by the line consisting of former Perlis Chief Minister, Dato 'Jaafar Hassan and Members of the State Executive Council and the reins were turned to YAB Dato' Ali bin Ahmad, Dato Dr Abdul Hamid Pawanteh, YAB Dato 'Seri Sahidan bin Kassim and lastly Corporation currently chaired by the new Chief Minister of Perlis YAB Dato Seri Dr Mat Isa bin Sabu.
The Corporation is also underpinned by the General Manager prior to the line which is currently still maintaining the rules and principles of the original establishment of the Corporation.
