Jawatan Kosong YPJ - Yayasan Pelajaran Johor (YPJ) or Johor State Government in 1982 established a foundation named Yayasan Pelajaran Johor through Enactment No. 8 in 1982 in order to manage the financing needs of loan/scholarships for Johor’s students who qualified to continue their studies at higher education institutions within and outside the country. The effort to establishing this foundation with those objectives is currently considered very important since the number of students who are capable in Johor are increased, hence needs to set up a special organization to organize the loans and scholarships for them.
Funding assistance in the form of loans and scholarships for students of the state of Johor has a long history. In 50s and 60s where the number of students who continue their education at higher education institutions are small, the state put the responsibility of organizing loans / scholarships under the administration of the office of State Secretary of Johor. Among the scholarships that the government had released at that time was the Sultan Ibrahim Scholarship, Memories of Dato 'Onn Scholarship and Johor State Administrative Service Scholarship. When the number of students increased, Yayasan Pelajaran Johor was established by Enactment No. 8 of 1982. Managing the production of loans / scholarships still remain under the administration of the State Secretary of Johor. Almost all the funding assistance available through the results of timber concessions and state government borrowing. Started in 1986, Yayasan Pelajaran Johor moved as one entity and be relieved from the administration of office the State Secretary of Johor. Yayasan Pelajaran Johor initial activity as described, focused on the acquisition of timber concessions as well as acquisition-cost less than other economic activities.
Starting from a simple economic activity, Yayasan Pelajaran Johor was able to move a wide variety of larger economies projects. Among them include hotels, tourism centers, housing programs, farms and investments stock. The result of the Yayasan Pelajaran Johor’s investment of about RM5 million a year in 1983 has now increased to more than RM25 million for 1993 and Yayasan Pelajaran Johor is expected to have more than RM35 million in 1994.
However, the economic activities of Yayasan Pelajaran Johor can’t be moved smoothly because in view of a government agency, its activities and the role of officers who served with him is still a strong subject to various rules and regulations by the government, Yayasan Pelajaran Johor Board has meet dated 26th May 1992 to review the function of Yayasan Pelajaran Johor and to find a way so that it can operate as a commercial entity.
