Jawatan Kosong MPT - Majlis Perbandaran Taiping (MPT) - Taiping Municipal Council (TMC) was established on 1 September 1979, when Act 1714, Local Government Act 1976 was written. TMC, with the area of 186.46 sq km, is a combination of eight Local Government Administration Boards.
Bandar Taiping What started as a small tin to become the first state capital of Perak. Now it is still superior to the characteristics of its history to be recognized as a Heritage City. At first, the Taiping known Chenda constituency. City only began with the placement of some of the Malays has attracted many foreigners to it as the discovery of tin that much.

With the signing of the Pangkor Treaty on 20 January 1874, Taiping has become a major city in the State as the administrative center of the British against the Taiping Town as one of the oldest cities in Malaysia.
In 1874, the Board of Health / Health was established to administer the town of Taiping, the Board has class and has been drafted in accordance with the enhancer function Taiping City itself. Now, Taiping is the second-largest city after the Ipoh City.
