Jawatan Kosong Padat - The history of the Selangor State Museum has already started much earlier, in the year 1987. When the Selangor State Museum which was established by the British is not available at the Selangor Museum today. Founder when it is H.C. Syers. Efforts to collect artifacts of the pre-history to display in the museum began in 1894 in which the JP Rodger was giving some ax or hatchet, known as "Stone Lintar" at that time to the museum.

In 1905, when H.C. Robinson became the Selangor State Museum curator, he obtained some stone ax or hatchet (but not from the Dallas area) for display at the museum. According H.C. Robinson, many more stone tools pre-historic times between the years 1906 to 1907 were obtained. For some time until the 1930's, has not shown any real interest for the pre-history of research in this area at that point.

In the days after independence, almost every state in Malaysia has started to establish their own state museums. The National Museum was officially opened on August 31, 1963 opening. The building was built on the site of Selangor Museum which was bombed during the Second World War. National Museum belongs to the Selangor State until 1974 when Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, the Sultan of Selangor agree release and surrender his sovereignty over Kuala Lumpur to the Federal Government in the record and show a sense of responsibility and devotion to the needs and interests of his country.

Starting from above the transition point, the Selangor State has yet to have a museum of its own to replace the National Museum in Kuala Lumpur. What is the time now merely a Mini Museum (originally a residential district officer) located at Bukit Melawati in Kuala Selangor. In building this historic event associated with the onset of Selangor displayed and exhibited for public viewing.

June 18th, 2009, Selangor Museum Board has changed its name into Malay Customs and Heritage Corporation Selangor (PADAT). Previously when under Selangor Museum Board, it is an organization which focuses on exhibitions, research, publications and collections of the museum collection the state since 1975 under the Enactment No.6 1975.Kini year, PADAT in naungi by Sultan Selangor.Ia specific function to develop, maintain and disseminate Malay customs and warisanNegeri Selangor.Enakmen establishment of the Corporation (Enactment No. 4) has get the pleasure of the Sultan of Selangor on 30 April 2009.

PADAT has three parts to support functions headed by a Chief Executive Officer, including:
  1. The Management Services Division
  2. The Malay customs and Heritage
  3. The museum
