Jawatan Kosong KEDA - Lembaga Kemajuan Wilayah Kedah - KEDA was established on 28 May 1981 under Act 249, Kedah Regional Development Authority Act 1981 in order to help accelerate the socioeconomic and infrastructural development in the areas of operations in KEDA.
KEDA operations area covers an area of 8,279 square kilometres which is 89% of the entire state of Kedah. As a Federal Government Agency under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, KEDA is entrusted in many aspects of development covering poverty eradication programmes, development of traditional villages and housing for the underprivileged, development of small and medium industries and entrepreneurship programmes, skills training, human capital development, infrastructural and social amenities development.
In the 10MP, focus of KEDA developments covers regional development programmes and towards self sustainment. Aspects of regional development cover physical, economical and human capital development especially in underdeveloped and isolated rural areas. Whereas towards self-sustainment, KEDA involves initiatives from establishment of subsidiary companies under it.
