Jawatan Kosong Tioman - Lembaga Pembangunan Tioman was established on 19 November 1997 under Bill Enactment. 7/1997 by the Pahang State Government. The Authority has commenced operations on January 1, 1998 with a total of 12 posts only.Lembaga Pembangunan Tioman was originally headquartered in Level 4, Wisma Sri Pahang Kuantan. Then at the end of 1998, the headquarters of Tioman Development Authority has moved to address A 145-147, Level 1 & 2, Lorong Tun Ismail 6, Sri Trading 25000 Kuantan.
On March 19, 1997 Executive Council ( MMK ) has agreed corporation formed specifically to administer Pulau Tioman. Cabinet on August 13, 1997 approved the recommendation to establish the Tioman Island. Tioman is also not included in the Board of Island Resort Development and Management to be established by the Federal Government.

Then at the end of 1998 , the headquarters of Tioman Development Authority has moved to address a 145-147 , Level 1 & 2 , Lorong Tun Ismail 6 , 25000 Kuantan Sri trades .
Prior to its inception as an organization , the development of Pulau Tioman is the responsibility of the District Council Rompin . However, during Tun Dr Mahathir's tenure as Prime Minister has announced that he will Tioman actively developed as Free of then established Tioman Development Authority .
