Jawatan Kosong kkwpk - Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat Malaysia - KPWKM is a ministry founded by the government that is responsible for reviewing the policy and direction to achieve the goal of gender equality, a loving family and community development in line with the government's commitment to the Conference of the removal of all forms of discrimination against women | elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women and the Beijing Declaration. Minister in charge of this ministry is Dato 'Rohani Abdul Karim.

On January 17, 2001 beginning ministry called the Ministry of Women's Affairs as announced by the Prime Minister at that time, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. [1] The function of the Ministry was later expanded and renamed the Ministry of Women and Family (MWFD) from 15 February 2001. Accordingly, the Department of Women's Affairs (HAWA) and the National Population and Family Development Board (NPFDB) was placed under the Ministry. HAWA later restructured and renamed as the Department of Women's Development (JPW).

After the Eleventh General Election in March 2004, the functions and responsibilities have expanded MWFD. On March 27, 2004 Community Development and function of the National Unity and Social Development was dissolved, and was transferred to MWFD. In line with the organization, MWFD was renamed the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (the ministry).

Ministry led by Y.B. Dato 'Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil (2001 - February 2008) as the minister responsible for increasing public awareness of the importance of the role of women and the family institution to achieve the national development agenda. People were also given awareness and guidance on social development, especially social welfare, to achieve the goal to create a caring society developed in line with Vision 2020.

After the 2008 Malaysian general election on March 8, 2008, the ministry leadership was assumed by Dato 'Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen. Among her early planning in the lead ministry is to educate the community about gender equality, starting from the school level, to create a gender friendly environment for working women, enhance the development of the community by working closely with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and also address the issues faced by women aged / elderly.

But after YAB Datuk Seri Najib Razak took over the premiership of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the ministry once again led by Senator Dato 'Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

On March 11, 2012, Senator Dato 'Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has resigned and handed over the ministry to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (acting).

At present, the ministry is led by Y.B. Datuk Rohani Abdul Karim. The Y.B. Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun appointed as Deputy Minister.
