Biasiswa BNM - Bank Negara Malaysia, Malaysia’s central bank was established in 1959 and is a statutory body wholly owned by the Malaysian Government. BNM has several roles, namely conducting monetary policy, stabilising the financial system, developing the infrastructure of the financial system, promoting financial inclusion, issuing currency, managing the country’s reserve and being a banker and adviser to the Malaysian government.

Scholarships Offered:
Pre-University, Overseas Preparatory Programme
First Degree (Honours)

Who should apply
Students who:
  • Have good command of the English Language (both spoken and written)
  • Are flexible, versatile and works well in a team
  • Outstanding in terms of sports and extra-curricular activites

Specific requirements for the Pre-University, Overseas Preparatory Programme:
  • Obtained at least 8As during the most recent SPM examinations
  • Not older than 19 years of age

Specific requirements for the First Degree (Honours) Programme:
  • STPM/A-Levels : Obtained at least 2As and 1B
  • Diploma/Matriculation: Obtained a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of at least 3.50
  • Australian Matriculation: Obtained a TER (Tertiary Entrance Rank) of at least 85%
  • American Foundation Programme: Obtained a score of at least 1200 for the SAT1

Degree: Obtained a CGPA of at least 3.50 for the latest examinations

Biasiwa Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Scholarship 2013 - 2014

Biasiswa TNB - Tenaga Nasional Berhad is Malaysia’s largest utility company with the core business of generating, transmitting and distributing electricity. Besides its primary business, TNB also has subsidiaries which conduct other activities, namely the manufacturing of transformers, switchgears and cables. TNB also contributes towards local education with University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). Wholly owned by the corporation, UNITEN combines academic programmes and techno skills under one roof.

Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN)
  • Yayasan Tenaga Nasional is TNB’s trust body, responsible for TNB’s corporate social responsibility efforts. YTN provides scholarships and study loans to deserving students to pursue their education locally and abroad. To date, YTN has provided financial assistance to more than 8,000 students.

Scholarships Offered:
  • YTN is currently offering 2 scholarships: the Overseas Universities Programme and the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) Programme. The former gives the opportunity for both SPM and STPM leavers to pursue their education overseas whilst the latter is only offered to SPM leavers to study at UNITEN.

Who should apply:

  • TNB is looking for applicants who have just received their SPM and STPM results. SPM leavers must not be more than 19 years of age whilst STPM leavers must not be more than 21 years old this year. TNB scholars are students who are active in co-curricular activities and have strong leadership qualities. Those with excellent results are prioritised – TNB only considers students who managed to get all A’s in subjects related to their chosen field of study.

Outstanding students with good academic and co-curricular track records are welcome to apply. Among the general requirements, applicants:
  • Should not be older than 23 years of age during application
  • Should be active in co-curricular activities
  • Should have good leadership skills and strong personalities
  • Should have no other siblings who are currently receiving scholarship from YTN
  • Should have already been admitted into their first semester at an IPTA

Specific Requirements:
  • At least 4B+ for STPM, or
  • CGPA of at least 3.33 for those who completed their Diploma/ Matriculation/ Foundation
  • Field of Study

Biasiswa Tajaan Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT) Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU)

1. Program Pendidikan Khas (PPK)

This financial assistance is a privilege granted to students with disabilities who are pursuing Special Skills Program full time in community colleges only. Financial assistance regardless of family income level as a condition of eligibility. Students who receive financial aid are not eligible for scholarships or other educational loan under the Ministry of Higher Education. Applicants must be registered with the Social Welfare Department (JKM) and have disabled the registration card. The course taken must be full-time courses which are recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) or the Public Service Department (PSD). Part-time courses or distance learning are not eligible for financial aid.

2. Bantuan Kewangan OKU

This sponsorship provides incentives / scholarships and opportunities for people with disabilities who are registered with the department and has a disabled card, capable or able to pursue education to the highest level. It is intended to enhance and expand lifelong learning opportunities for the disabled in terms of financial aid. Sponsorship covers the financing of education at certificate level through to PhD level at public universities, selected private institutions, community colleges.
