Majlis Perbandaran Jasin - MP Jasin is one of three local government other than the Malacca Municipal Council Alor Gajah and Melaka City Council . The government is still based in the city Jasin until now . Municipal Council is determined to become a developed state by state and country's future .
History Council Jasin began in 1959 as the Rural District Council Jasin ( Jasin Rural District Council). Then the force of law the Local Government Act , 1976, as well as with local authorities other Jasin Rural District Council was recognized as Jasin District Council from July 1, 1978 . On January 1, 2007 it was upgraded to a Municipal Council Jasin .
Jasin Municipal Building was constructed on May 12, 1937 by Indian Society Jasin during the reign of King George VI . In the old days , the building was used as the administrative center of the English county . Next in 1959 , when the Rural District Council Jasin established , these buildings has been the administrative center of the council, and it lasted until now .
Jasin is the biggest district (41.47%), followed by Alor Gajah (40.48%) and Melaka Tengah (18.05%). Total area in Jasin is 67,799 hectre (678 km square). Area that bound with Jasin is Melaka Tengah (South), Alor Gajah (West), Muar, Johor (East) and Tampin, Negeri Sembilan (North). Jasin was divide into 20 mukim.
Almost 75% Jasin geographical is land because it is under 50 meter height and suitable for plantation. There is a dam in Mukim Jus, Jus Dam which providing water for people. Development in Jasin is focused more Jasin City, Merlimau and Selandar which function as district administration centre, trade centre and industrial centre.

Jawatan Kosong MPLBP - Majlis Perbandaran Langkawi Bandaraya Pelancongan - Langkawi Municipal Council (Majlis Perbandaran Langkawi), the City of Tourism was gazette on 16 December 2000 and was proclaimed was done by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah on 24 March 2001.In 2001, the Council was awarded ISO status version 1994 pertaining to planning and buildings and that came to an end in 2003.The scope of work of the Council includes physical, economic and social planning towards strong city development and providing efficient services and responsible for planning and city development..
